SpaMedica have conducted a survey from around 3,000 people which concluded that patients were showing strong improvements in quality of life after they had cataract surgery with the ophthalmology service provider.
Cataract patients said their quality of life was poor or very poor (35%) before their procedure and highlighted that they often struggled when it comes to simple activities like watching TV, reading, and driving.
5% of people have said their life quality to be very good before they underwent a cataract procedure, which rose to 48% afterwards and after further tests with more patients, rose to another further 40%.
